Portrait Information - People

Pencil portraits: I charge from £500 plus delivery for a pencil portrait on off white paper. Portraits can be in graphite pencil or red conte crayon. I do not work from life as I find I can get better results working at my own pace in my studio from photographs. I can advise on how to take the perfect photos for this purpose (no grins for example).

I ask for a 50% deposit before I begin but only charge for the portrait if you are completely happy with it and it will refund the deposit less cost of materials (thankfully I have never had to do this!). I will send images of the final portrait by email for you to approve.

Oil portraits: are on hand made linen board. Prices start from £850. A 50% deposit is required before I begin. I do not charge VAT. Please contact me for more information on sizes and prices.

Depending on the distance from my home in South Oxfordshire I will charge an extra mileage fee to photograph the subject(s). I will take several photos and we will choose one to work from. The digital photos are included in the price. However, it is usually easier for all if you can provide your own photos if they are suitable. I can advise on how to take the best photos, for example they need to be in focus, not smiley (no grins!), have some light in the eyes and it is important that you really like the photo.

I will email the final portrait to you and any minor adjustments can then be made if necessary.

For all commissions: 

A 50% deposit is required before I start the commission and full payment is required on completion.  Postage is with Royal Mail Special Delivery in the UK and UPS internationally. Once the work has been approved by email and then sent to the client any subsequent adjustments will incur extra postage costs. International orders require full payment prior to commencement. Sarah Blomfield Studio is not responsible for any International duties and taxes, these will be payable by the client. All prices are EXCLUSIVE of any import tax, customs charges or unforeseeable costs. Please check with your country’s customs office before ordering.

I reserve the right to use images of all artwork and lampshades for promotional purposes on social media.  Please note that all copyright remains with the artist and images may be reproduced by the artist and sold as limited edition prints or other printed media.
